Dispatch D-001
First transmission
Field NotesThis is the first transmission. Hello, whoever you are, wherever you are reading this from.
I’ve built this place as a kind of listening station. The stories and poems live in The Archive, each one catalogued with a log number, the way you’d file a signal recovered from somewhere far away. These dispatches are something looser: field notes from the operator’s desk. Notes on craft, on weather, on the strange daily business of writing things down before they fade.
What to expect
Stories on the edge of things. Science fiction that feels more like a dream than a manual. Fantasy that grows in rainforest gullies. Mysteries without tidy endings. Ghosts, in the broadest sense of the word: anything that lingers, anything that keeps calling after it should have gone quiet.
And poems, which are the shortest signals I know how to send.
How to stay tuned
If you’d like new transmissions sent to you, there’s a signup form at the bottom of most pages. There’s also an RSS feed, for those of you who still keep your own receivers.
The channel is open. I’ll be listening.
